Engineer, Coastal and Nearshore Civil Works (Water & Wastewater)
OpportunityWork on large‑scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects focused on coastal engineering related to waves, tides, and erosion.
The TeamPart of BV Operations, supporting projects in Government & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial sectors. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on projects ranging from community improvements to large‑scale mega projects.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, analyze, and design coastal and nearshore civil works projects including shoreline protection and flood mitigation.
- Perform coastal, hydraulic, and hydrodynamic modeling to evaluate waves, tides, storm surge, and sediment transport.
- Prepare engineering designs, calculations, and technical reports in support of civil works projects.
- Support permitting and regulatory coordination with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate coastal engineering solutions into broader infrastructure programs.
- Provide engineering support during construction, including reviews, field observations, and issue resolution.
- Contribute to coastal resilience, risk reduction, and climate adaptation initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Ability and motivation to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- Must complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screening.
- Active engineering registration or licensure to support Engineer‑of‑Record (EOR) requirements in applicable countries.

Work Environment/Physical Demands- Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after 90 days based on manager discretion.
- Typical office and construction environments, including exposure to extreme weather, high noise, electrical hazards, scaffolding, high places, chemicals, fumes, dust, and gases.
- Physical demands include sitting, walking, talking, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing, and lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
