Job Overview
Using automotive manufacturing knowledge of and experience with Project Leadership/Management, LEAN Manufacturing and ISO 9001 quality standards; planning, prioritizing and controlling multiple projects for a full plant (e.g., Body Shop, Paint Shop, Assembly Shop, Battery, etc.); performing NISP Programming, Dimension 4 training, MoCa reporting system, EE failure analysis, ISO tester commissioning, and software coding; coordinating, communicating and collaborating to manage project team and liaise with stakeholders;
analyzing and driving data for decision making, troubleshooting and new planning; and reporting main Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) referring to budget, timeline, and capacity resources for each project to plan sequences of operations/working cycles for subsystems. Plan complex production equipment, prepare requirements, obtain and evaluate offers for subsystems. Support and monitor the setup, approval and acceptance of subsystems. Optimize and document technical processes or limited complete systems, e.g. painting process (top coating), various bodyshell sections, complete component assembly involving various technologies, production/tool concepts involving various technologies for new gearbox/engine runs.
Understand and apply existing planning standards, guidelines and auditable documentation. Request amendment and adjustment as required. Participate in the development of planning standards/tools, e.g. standard technical specifications, procedural instructions for planning processes, checklists (e.g., acceptance checklists), process descriptions (e.g., documentation in PP Book), etc. Manage projects relating to own area or responsibility. Perform other duties as assigned. Oversee budget tracking, cost monitoring and reporting for capex and non-capex investments from own area of responsibility, ensuring cost efficiency and strategic resource allocation for line interventions under responsibility with management.
Requires Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Maintenance Engineering or related field plus three (3) years of automotive manufacturing experience evidencing demonstrable ability to perform the stated job duties. New hires subject to drug test and background check. Requires working weekends to monitor line changes and equipment installation and to coordinate project suppliers.
