Project Engineer , Geotech

At RK&K, we are hiring a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our South Carolina Team.

Open to relocation within South Carolina.

• Aid in the development of geotechnical portions of proposals and subsurface exploration programs
• Supervise subsurface exploration programs
• Prepare Geotechnical Information Reports, Bridge Geotechnical Engineering Reports, Roadway Geotechnical Engineering Reports, and Seismic Response Analysis Reports
• Develop geotechnical analyses and calculations using approved software
• Review post‑bid construction plans
• Prepare foundation recommendations for other structures as required
• Develop innovative design concepts related to Geotechnical Engineering to enhance project efficiency

• Passion for client service and engineering
• 5+ years of Geotechnical Design Experience
• Knowledge of SCDOT Geotechnical Design Manual (GDM) and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification
• Understanding of gINT, LPile, APile, MSEW, FB-Pier, and GRLWEAP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Microstation
• South Carolina Professional Engineer License
• BS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering

• MS or advanced degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
• 10+ years of Geotechnical Design Experience
• SCDOT experience
