At SJG, our designers pride themselves on our lead‑time and we understand that this is an important factor for all principal contractors looking to stay on schedule. We maintain this through our commitment to effective and efficient recruitment and always keep CVs on file; so send your application in today.
Currently, we need a Senior/Temporary Works Engineer to assist in a wide range of temporary works design due to an increased workload and an expansion within the UK construction industry. You will be joining a small, but rapidly growing company and can expect fast personal career growth. Our clients range from local subcontractors to multinationals with more than £1 billion turnover.
At times you may be based on site, providing support during the construction phase of projects.

Every year, SJG looks to take on a new apprentice to join our design team as we firmly believe in the working‑route to education. Our Chief Executive Officer, Simon Goldsmith, was himself an apprentice and is looking to take on another career‑driven engineer to assist his design team alongside a Level 3 education course. This rewarding way to break into a career in construction and engineering will be applicable to diligent, hard‑working and punctual candidates.
We are always looking for talented, passionate individuals with a proven track record of excellence. If you are interested in joining our team and none of the vacancies listed suit you, please send us your CV and a covering letter anyway.
