Job SummaryWe’re hiring for a Lead Mechanical Engineer role in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will support mechanical systems across multiple facilities, troubleshoot issues, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Education/Experience- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with an industrial or manufacturing background required
- Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or Solid Works preferred
- Knowledge of steel or heavy industries a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 75% for on-site support
- Strong mechanical knowledge and industrial machinery experience
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Familiarity with capital projects and reliability programs
- Provide mechanical troubleshooting for critical plant equipment
- Investigate and address equipment failures
- Lead small to mid-size capital projects
- Collaborate with facility leadership on project scopes and timelines
- Assist in equipment commissioning and startup
- Mentor maintenance teams on best practices
- Optimize maintenance routines and reduce costs
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
