Compensation: $57/hr - $90/hr+ (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the OpportunityWe are seeking an MRB Engineer to support one of the world's leading aerospace manufacturers in Charleston, SC. This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting commercial aircraft production and quality initiatives. We are open to candidates ranging from approximately 3 years of experience to senior-level engineers with 10+ years of expertise in manufacturing, quality, stress analysis, liaison engineering, or MRB/disposition engineering.
This position will focus on evaluating nonconforming aircraft components and assemblies, developing repair solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.
Responsibilities- Review and analyze nonconforming aircraft structures, systems, and components.
- Develop dispositions for manufacturing and production discrepancies, including repair, rework, use-as-is, and scrap determinations.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, design engineering, and supplier teams to resolve production issues.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
- Prepare technical documentation related to MRB activities and engineering dispositions.
- Evaluate structural repairs and recommend solutions that maintain airworthiness and performance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, engineering standards, and internal quality processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing quality and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related discipline).
- 3+ years of engineering experience within aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, defense, or a related technical industry.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a production environment.
- Previous MRB, Liaison Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Stress Analysis experience.
- Aerospace or aircraft manufacturing experience.
- Experience supporting dispositions of nonconforming parts or assemblies.
- Familiarity with CATIA, ENOVIA, MES, SAP, or similar engineering/manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace quality standards.
