Geotechnical Engineer

A locally owned and operated engineering firm dedicated to providing top-notch engineering solutions is seeking a talented and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join their dynamic team. Salary range is $85K-$115K based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments
• Perform soil and rock analysis to determine the engineering properties and suitability for construction projects
• Design and oversee foundation systems, retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures
• Collaborate with project teams to provide geotechnical recommendations and solutions
• Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Provide on-site support during construction phases to address geotechnical concerns
• Utilize geotechnical software and tools to analyze data and develop designs

Requirements:

• P.E. (Professional Engineer) or E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices
• Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., Slope/W, PLAXIS, Geo Studio)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites
