MRB Engineering & Authority Lead
Insight Global is seeking experienced MRB Engineering & Authority Leads to support Boeing in Charleston, SC. This role will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for driving Material Review Board (MRB) activities, signing complex non-conformance dispositions, and providing engineering oversight within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for engineers who currently hold, or have previously held, MRB signature authority and have a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, materials engineering, structural analysis, and production support.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve complex non-conformance dispositions as an MRB authority.
- Lead MRB execution, prioritization, and disposition throughput efforts.
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for engineering and production teams.
- Mentor and develop engineers progressing toward MRB authority.
- Partner with Boeing stakeholders to ensure high-quality engineering decisions and regulatory compliance.
- Drive resolution of manufacturing and product quality issues while balancing technical, schedule, and production requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Boeing engineering standards and approved disposition processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline).
- 10+ years of engineering experience within aerospace, aviation, or complex manufacturing environments.
- Current or previous MRB signature authority experience.
- Strong understanding of non-conformance disposition processes and production-support engineering.
- Experience working directly with manufacturing operations and cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Boeing MRB experience.
- Expertise in one or more of the following:
Materials Engineering, Failure Analysis, Composite Structures, Fatigue & Fracture Mechanics, Structural Repair & Disposition Development. - Experience leading engineering teams or serving as a technical authority.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing leadership.
