An expanding global chemical manufacturer is seeking a Site Leader – Maintenance & Reliability to lead the site's maintenance and reliability functions. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations through the development and execution of best-in-class maintenance strategies, asset integrity programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to maximize equipment reliability, improve plant performance, and support long-term operational excellence.

the Role

Site Leader – Maintenance & Reliability is responsible for leading the site’s maintenance and reliability functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance programs.
  • Direct maintenance execution and reliability initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and plant performance.
  • Develop and monitor asset reliability strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct root cause failure analyses (RCFA) and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and EHS teams to optimize equipment availability and operational efficiency.
  • Manage CMMS performance, maintenance planning and scheduling, and spare parts inventory control.
  • Support the planning, design review, and execution of capital improvement projects and new equipment installations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, API, ASME, ISO, and other applicable regulatory and industry standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary maintenance and reliability teams.
  • Facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and ensure timely completion of recommended actions.
  • Drive sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost optimization initiatives across the facility.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of maintenance, reliability, or engineering experience within industrial manufacturing; chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in maintenance management systems, reliability engineering, and asset lifecycle optimization.
  • Strong working knowledge of CMMS platforms and maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop technical teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
