Opportunity
  • Focus on large‑scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects with coastal engineering related to waves, tides, and erosion.
  • Coordinate with internal and external team members on moderately complex projects.
  • Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers on less complex projects.
  • Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of work on less complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, analyze, and design coastal and nearshore civil works projects, including shoreline protection and flood mitigation.
  • Perform coastal, hydraulic, and hydrodynamic modeling to evaluate waves, tides, storm surge, and sediment transport.
  • Prepare engineering designs, calculations, and technical reports in support of civil works projects.
  • Support permitting and regulatory coordination with local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate coastal engineering solutions into broader infrastructure programs.
  • Provide engineering support during construction, including reviews, field observations, and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to coastal resilience, risk reduction, and climate adaptation initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Ability and motivation to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent engineering work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).
  • Hold an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries.

Work Environment / Physical Demands
  • Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on manager discretion, performance, and assignments.
  • Typical office and construction environments, exposure to extreme weather, high noise levels, safety hazards such as electrical currents, scaffolding, high places, chemicals.
  • Physical tasks: sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
