Overview:
The Axel Group is seeking a Civil Engineer for our client's growing team in South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career Civil Engineer to gain hands‑on experience in land development, stormwater management, drainage, grading, and site design while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.
- Assist with the design of residential, commercial, and other land development projects
- Assist with stormwater management and drainage design
- Prepare grading, drainage, utility, and site development plans
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations
- Assist with detention, infiltration, and other stormwater BMP design
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare engineering plans
- Review surveys, site information, and existing drainage conditions
- Assist with preparation of technical reports and permitting documents
- Work with project engineers, surveyors, and other project professionals
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Approximately 1 year of civil engineering experience
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D strongly preferred
- Exposure to land development, site design, grading, drainage, or stormwater
- EIT certification or actively pursuing EIT preferred
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Salary up to approximately $75,000, depending on experience
