Specific

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate in the design, evaluation, and troubleshooting of low and medium voltage power distribution and generator systems, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and safety practices
• Engage in field oversight during construction and commissioning, observing installation and testing of electrical equipment
• Review and interpret electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams, panel schedules, and wiring diagrams
• Create and modify electrical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD
• Support power system calculations (load analysis, voltage drop, short‑circuit, basic protection coordination)
• Prepare engineering documentation, including calculation packages and technical reports

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings
• Foundational understanding of three‑phase power, voltage, current, and power factor, and basic concepts of load flow/voltage drop
• Working knowledge of Excel or similar tools for engineering calculations and data analysis
• Familiarity with power system analysis and modeling tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, Easy Power, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar) through coursework or projects
• Understanding of protection principles (relays, circuit breakers, fuses) and grounding/bonding
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Awareness of electrical safety concepts, such as arc‑flash hazards and lockout/tagout
• Practical experience using generative AI tools in an engineering or analytical context (e.g., summarizing technical documents, exploring design options, supporting data analysis)
• Familiarity with controls and instrumentation basics, such as control circuits, interlocks, sensors, and PLC concepts
