This role is ideal for a finance professional who takes pride in maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting property operations, and helping drive strong financial performance across multiple hotels.
The Area Accounting Manager plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting budgeting and forecasting, tracking expenses, and partnering with leaders to improve efficiency and results. We are looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to strengthen financial discipline and operational effectiveness.
Required Tasks- Maintain accurate posting and reporting of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable in accordance with GAAP to ensure timely and reliable financial reporting.
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries and support timely financial close across assigned properties.
- Conduct monthly financial statement reviews in partnership with the Area Director of Finance.
- Assist in preparation of financial and operational reporting.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking to drive informed business decisions.
- Partner with operational and finance teams to improve processes, performance, and efficiency.
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality and multi-property environments.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Experience leading or supporting multiple locations or complex business units preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
- Experience with hotel systems such as Opera, Micros, Birch Street, or similar platforms.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
