Our Registered Branch Associates are an essential part of the client team, and we rely on their unique experiences, insights, and professional backgrounds. Registered Branch Associates create capacity for the Financial Advisor by partnering together to serve existing clients at the direction of the Financial Advisor. They support the branch process to provide a streamlined client experience, understand clients’ motivations and goals, and accelerate trust within the branch team.
Training& Support
- Training may include mentoring, job shadowing, coaching, and branch office visits.
- A support network that extends beyond the branch office, including headquarters assistance via phone, email, and firm intranet resources.
- Deepening relationships with existing clients.
- Gathering information and collecting suitability information to open new accounts.
- Researching portfolio performance, cost/fees, asset allocation, changes to portfolio construction, and making recommendations to the Financial Advisor, communicating to the client on the Advisor’s behalf when in agreement.
- Executing Financial Advisor solicited buy/sell orders and confirming with clients.
- Answering general client questions regarding Edward Jones Stock recommendations and withdrawals.
- Actively business planning and working as a team to continuously evaluate and execute branch strategies.
- Continuously developing yourself to grow personally and professionally.
- Ability to learn and apply legal and regulatory requirements related to selling financial solutions.
- Work independently with strong problem solving, critical thinking, and sound judgement.

- Attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - 3-5 years of relevant experience in the securities/financial services industry preferred.
- Series 7 and Series 66 required; if not currently registered, registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the study period.
- FINRA registrations required within three months. State insurance licenses also required.
As an associate, you are required to complete all ongoing training offered by the firm and regulatory authorities, including FINRA and/or SEC, and complete required CE training to ensure license(s) are in good standing.
