A newly established single-family office is seeking a seasoned and highly trusted Chief Financial Officer to oversee the financial affairs of a private principal and related entities.
This individual will serve as a strategic advisor and financial steward, with responsibility spanning personal financial management, tax strategy, and oversight of philanthropic initiatives. The CFO will partner directly with the principal to build appropriate financial infrastructure while ensuring discretion, precision, and long-term wealth preservation.
Key Areas of Responsibility:- Oversee consolidated financial reporting, liquidity planning, and balance sheet management
- Lead personal financial administration, including cash flow oversight and coordination across advisors
- Direct tax planning and compliance in partnership with external professionals (individual, trust, partnership, and charitable structures)
- Support and administer philanthropic vehicles, ensuring proper governance and financial controls
- Establish scalable processes, systems, and internal controls appropriate for a sophisticated private wealth environment
- Serve as the primary liaison across legal, tax, audit, and investment advisors
- 12+ years of progressive experience in a family office, private investment firm, multi-family office, public accounting firm, or closely held business environment
- Strong working knowledge of individual and trust taxation, estate planning structures, and complex entity frameworks
- Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals, founders, or privately held enterprises
- Ability to navigate both strategic financial matters and detailed operational execution
Demonstrated discretion, integrity, and sound judgment in managing confidential financial information - CPA, MST, MBA, or comparable credentials preferred but not required
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
