The Certified Child Life Specialist is responsible for creating, introducing, and launching comprehensive child life programs that address the unique developmental and psychosocial needs of premature infants, their caregivers, and siblings in our 80-bed, level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

This foundational role involves designing and implementing Child Life services in the NICU. The Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) will develop a sustainable, developmentally supportive, family-centered program focusing on neurodevelopmental needs, incorporating education, play, and sensory regulation techniques. The CCLS supports caregiver bonding, addresses medical trauma, long-term hospitalization, and uncertain outcomes. The position requires a collaborative professional capable of delivering direct patient and family care and leading program development efforts.

Education:

A master's degree in child life or a bachelor's degree in child life with over one year of experience in a child life program. NICU experience is preferred.
