Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and Siemens experience.

• Main hospital MRI unit serving inpatient, ER, and outpatient populations
• 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
• Daily caseload varies by shift
• Charting via Epic
• 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM
• Floating to other buildings on campus within clinical scope may be required
• No on-call required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
• Former permanent or PRN staff at this facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
• All requested time off must be disclosed upfront, as approval is based on unit needs
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
• Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
• Parking on nights and weekends requires a one-time $20 fee for a parking pass

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Tech experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Siemens MRI experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• SC license required if applicable
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
