Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mobile MRI Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Charleston, SC.

• Mobile MRI Tech role within a large 865-bed academic teaching hospital designated as both Magnet and Level 1 Trauma
• Night shifts scheduled 4x10 hours, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Holiday coverage required when holidays fall on a scheduled shift
• No on-call required
• Floating within clinical scope may be required to meet facility needs
• Charting via Epic
• Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on manager and unit needs
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
• During hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Tech experience required
• BLS (AHA) and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• SC license required if applicable
• Siemens MRI equipment experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
