CVICU Registered Nurse - Charleston, SC

Highly skilled Registered Nurses with pediatric cardiac intensive care experience are needed for a contract role in Charleston, SC. Key Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years pediatric cardiac ICU experience
• Background in cardiovascular and pediatric care strongly preferred
• Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience highly desired
• Current SC or multi-state compact Registered Nurse license
• Certifications required:
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association accepted
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred (AHA accepted)
• Ability to float across unit as needed

Schedule & Work Environment

• Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
• Weekend coverage required: 4 weekend shifts in 4-week rotation and holiday rotation
• High-acuity, 29-bed Pediatric Cardiology ICU with an average daily census of 26 patients
• Exposure to complex therapies including ECMO, CRRT, cardiac surgery, catheterization, and heart transplant care
