Job Summary /
Purpose:
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.- Required Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 (approx. hourly for 36 hrs/wk)
Minimum Training and Education
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. Associate or Diploma degree in nursing graduates must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within four years of RN hire or reclassification date. A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required; at least 1 year of ICU experience preferred.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations
Licensed as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Shift Schedule
Hours per week: 36
Scheduled work hours/shift:
Monday‑Friday, 7:30 pm – 8:00 am (3‑12 hour shifts). Minimal call.
Physical and Mental Requirements
• Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, indoors, outdoors, from elevated areas, in confined/cramped spaces, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and performing pinching operations.
• Ability to use arms and hands for gross and fine motor tasks, reach overhead, perform repetitive motions, lift/carry 50 lb unassisted, lift/lower objects 50 lb or 36 in. from floor, lift from 36 in. to overhead 25 lb, exert up to 50 lb of force. Realistic testing scenario: transfer a 100 lb patient that cannot assist requires 50 lb of force; each additional 100 lb requires another helper.
• Maintain 20/40 vision in one eye or both (corrected), orography, hearing acuity, stress tolerance, rotating shifts, overtime, latex‑safe environment, tactile, olfactory, and respirator qualifications as required.
