Job Summary
Patient Care Technician (PCT) reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT performs multi‑skilled activities to support a decentralized patient‑centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.

12 - Work Shift: Rotating (United States of America)
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree
- At least 1 year of work experience in a 0.6 FTE PCT I position at MUSC CHS
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility
- Active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited institution
- Active enrollment in a healthcare‑related field from an accredited institution
- Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution
The position requires the ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, and performing repetitive motions with hands and arms. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, climb stairs, work in confined spaces, and operate in a rotating shift environment. The role requires full visual and hearing acuity, and the capacity to work in a latex‑free environment.
