HR Shared Services Specialist

We're hiring an HR Shared Services Specialist to join our team in Charleston, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with the first 90 days onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly or weekly payroll for one or more operating companies, including auditing hours, processing commissions, calculating checks, and handling special pay scenarios
• Maintain and update time systems, compute and audit employee timecards, coordinate with Treasury and AP teams, and ensure legal compliance for new hires, changes, and terminations
• Manage employees on leave (FMLA, STD, LOA) in collaboration with the benefits team
• Provide Tier 1 HRSS customer support, respond to unemployment inquiries, handle employment verifications, complete state-required reports, act as a liaison with operating companies, process inter-company transfers, and research and resolve problems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR team members, maintain operating company fact sheets, assist with training, presentations, communications, and policies, and participate in special projects and implementations
• Scan and archive personnel documents, assist with audits, and prepare ad hoc reports

Skills &

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of relevant work experience required
• Must be able to work in a team environment with strong communication, interpersonal, and PC skills (especially Excel)

Education/

Certifications:

• Relevant educational background or certifications preferred

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000.
