This position will act as the digital multiplier for Human Resources topics in the Vans division to foster the generation and implementation of innovative initiatives. Youwill lead the design, testing, planning, and implementation of complex systems that typically affect many users while also planning budget for HR IT systems within the annual operation planning and managing the service level agreements.
This function includes processing and maintaining periodic reports of employee record data, as well as developing ad hoc reports. You will prepare,maintain and update employee data for the HR information system and provide analysis of employee records using HR IT system. In addition, you will develop and execute an efficient internal communication strategy to ensure communication with all levels of management.
Responsibilities- Be a Digital Disrupter – bring in digital ideas and innovation to daily business(e.g. participate in regular meetings to generate and share digital ideas)
- Act as the point of contact for innovative ideas (for HR) at Mercedes-Benz Vans
- Coordinate Digital Days to foster exchange about digital ideas with the business
- Exchange current topics with Digital Managers from other locations on a regular basis
- Distribute relevant digitalization information to Human Resources employees
- Lead the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of systems and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the HR department and the plant management
- Plan budget for HR IT systems within the annual operation planning as well as manage the service level agreements with other affiliates and the NAFTA Shared Service Center
- Investigate and analyze business processes, procedures and systems
- Is key user for all HR IT systems, responsible for access rights and data protection in HR
- Monitors HR information needs and modifies existing systems to meet changing requirements
- Identifies possible solutions for highly complex non-routine issues
- Cultivate contacts with internal and external vendor requirement planners or developers
- Ensure compliance with data protection guidelines and policies within the HR department
- Contributes to maintenance, troubleshooting and design of HRIS and other HR IT systems in a short and long term perspective
- Processes confidential employee information and maintains employee records
- Acombination of 5 years of related in HRIS/IT and/or project management
- Must have an affinity for digital topics and enthusiasm for new innovative ideas
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills a must
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access and Power Point), understanding of IT processes and their relevance for HR
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to excellent networking skills
- Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system using People Soft and Kronos
- Candidate must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
