Job Overview:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible to support business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's midrange plans and its culture.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Supports other HR Business Partners with investigations and other employee relations activities
- Resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Coordinates small- to medium-sized projects related to employee relations, recruiting, or other HR topics.
- Provides day-to-day guidance to line management regarding employee accountability and performance management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Supports business unit on hiring, promotions and transfers
- Contacts candidates, schedules interviews, and creates interview questions with the hiring manager
- Collaborates with business managers to define job descriptions and specifications for recruitment purposes
- Provide basic guidance to employees on HR and business topics, and escalates to topic owner as needed (e.g. expatriate assignments, Payroll)
- Provides guidance and input on workforce planning activities, in alignment with topic owner.
- May act as topic owner within HR workforce management team
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- High volume recruiting experience preferred.
- Professional HR certification or credential is a plus
- Knowledge of Employment Law and Legislation (US and SC employment Law Preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
