K  maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site to include all logistics and maintenance operations. The K  APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army’s power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets are configured and maintained at optimal readiness.

K  also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs, IAW individual scope of work contract requirements.

Job Summary

The GCSS-Army Technical Instructor/Course Developer requires a comprehensive understanding of Warehouse and Unit Supply Operations, equivalent to an Army 92A (Automated Logistical Specialist) Skill Level 20–30. In this role, the incumbent manages and escalates GCSS-Army incident reports to the Service Desk to ensure timely resolution. The position also involves developing and delivering training in both classroom and practical settings, specifically focusing on TUCs 930 and 960 areas.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in GCSS-Army Transaction Codes (T‑Codes) relating to Inventory and Warehouse Management (Stock Control, Issue, Receiving, Storage, Turn‑in, and Shipping) and Materiel Management functions. Beyond technical proficiency, this role requires a skilled communicator capable of formulating instructional outlines, managing GTRAC certifications, and troubleshooting complex transaction errors to ensure 100% supply accountability. Applicants must possess practical skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

This position reports directly to the Logistics Information System (LIS) Instructor/Training Manager.

System Note

GCSS-Army is an SAP‑based (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing) ERP. It is the U.S. Army’s primary system for managing maintenance, supply, and property.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Managing and escalating GCSS-Army incident reports to the Service Desk. Track resolution to ensure minimal operational downtime.
  • Training contractor personnel on daily GCSS-Army transactions; assist in special projects within TUC 930/960.
  • Provide expert guidance to SSA personnel on critical warehouse processes, resolving complex transaction errors.
  • Develop comprehensive job aids and work instructions; formulate teaching outlines and determine the most effective instructional methods based on identified training gaps.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested to include providing reports related to training and GCSS‑Army user report management.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, And Certifications)
  • Five years or more of experience around military logistic operations or equivalent.
  • Proficient at using web-based SAP-based ERP system Global Combat Support System‑Army () TUC 930/960.
  • General knowledge of the GCSS‑Army Training and Certification (GTRAC) system.
  • GCSS‑Army transaction errors troubleshooting procedures.
  • Deep understanding of SSA/Installation SSA operations, including Inventory Management (IM), Warehouse Management (WM) functions, and standard T‑Codes.
  • Proven experience and knowledge in Excess and Reparable Management, Plant 2000/2001 Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Warehouse Supply and Materiel Management reports in Business Intelligence (BI) Launch Pad.
  • Parts and materials procurement cycle, from the identification of the requirement through fulfillment.
  • Experience as Instructor/Trainer in the military or civilian sector.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Common Access Card (CAC) issuance.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand – between 4 to 5 hours per day.
  • Must be able to walk – between 2 to 3 hours per day.
