Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks an Operations Specialist (Software Engineering, Senior Analyst) to support a Federal Government client at our Charleston, South Carolina location. The Operations Specialist will provide analysis and production-readiness support for the Operations Unit, supporting the development, preparation, execution, and monitoring of operational processes, including file exchanges, data archiving, and the secure delivery of data to internal and external stakeholders.
This position currently requires an on-site schedule, though the schedule may change based on company/contract requirements.
- Plan, develop, integrate and automate application and operating system tasks through an automated batch scheduler with focus on efficiency and automation.
- Develop, document, and execute daily, bi‑weekly, monthly, and annual operating procedures to support the production financial systems.
- Perform installation of application software and core database software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
- Analyze and correct functional and technical issues that arise during operating procedures.
- Plan, test, and execute continuity of operations plans for all applicable systems.
- Place emphasis on teamwork and work well in a team‑oriented environment.
- Plan, organize, and manage the configuration, installation, optimization, administration, and maintenance of financial systems supported by the Unit.
- Provide efficient analysis and troubleshooting of production issues, both during and after normal business hours, to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and metrics are maintained or exceeded.
- Software systems utilized include Oracle 18c+, SQL Server 2012+, People Soft Payroll/Time & Labor, Momentum Financials, Business Objects Enterprise, SAP HANA, SQL/SQL Plus, Windows Server 2016+, Windows 7+, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8+, Microsoft Power Platform, and BMC Control M.

Required Qualifications- Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in systems development, requirements development, and/or automated financial systems analysis.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate technical as well as non‑technical information, both orally and in writing.
- Experience working with financial management systems.
- Experience with BMC Control‑M.
- Experience with People Tools‑based People Soft HCM.
- Experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
BA/BS desired in computer science, business, or closely related field desired.
ClearanceAll applicants for this position must be able to obtain a Top‑Secret Clearance issued by DoS. Clearance is not required to apply.

CompensationThe MIL Corporation values your contributions and offers a range of benefits to support your overall well‑being. The projected compensation range is $105,000 - $145,000 per year. Final salary for this position is determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, and contractual limitations.
