Sentar is seeking a Risk and Integration Lead in Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the CSSP Director in defining Service Area Requirements, identifying process improvement projects, and supporting defensive cyber operations (DCO) monitoring and incident response.
  • Provide oversight and decision‑making support during local daytime shift; coordinate with stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
  • Advocate resources and provide surge support during high‑criticality cyber incidents.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and generate/project proposals within CSSP Service Area teams.
  • Functions as the central point of contact for internal CSSP risk management, ensuring visibility and timely escalation.
  • Support subscriber onboarding and sustainment, coordinating integration across service areas.
  • Track requirements, issues, and gap logs to ensure accuracy and resolution across the IPT.
  • Improve risk posture through centralized tracking, monitoring subscriber visibility, and identifying risks early.
  • Enhance coordination across Operations Leads and service areas, supporting mission continuity by identifying trends and gaps early.
Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Understanding of modern cyber‑defense policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., defense‑in‑depth principles, intrusion detection methodologies, incident response frameworks).
  • Ability to identify appropriate response actions for different cybersecurity event scenarios and understand attack stages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholders, tailored to technical or non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience directing, coaching, and mentoring analysts both during events and in skills development.
  • Ability to provide informed opinions to leadership during high‑pressure situations and coordinate resources.
  • Ensures problems are communicated and followed up through all parties.
  • Analyzes, tracks, and directs workflow to improve services to the Ops Watch Floor.
  • Self‑disciplined and ensures timely completion of tasks.

Highly Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of reverse engineering and malware analysis (program memory structure, de‑obfuscation).
  • Knowledge of programming logic, secure coding, and sub‑fields such as cryptography and operating systems.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership (GS15/O5+).
  • Knowledge of DoD cyber policies, compliance guidelines, and CJCSM 6510.01B.
  • Working knowledge of DCO tools and SaFE methodology with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence).

Minimum Qualifications

  • IT‑related experience with the four competencies:
    Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
  • Experience establishing CSSP Service Area requirements for defense, integration, and analysis of subscriber networks.
  • Leadership of network intrusion detection, monitoring, correlation analysis, incident response, and digital forensics.
  • Designated GOV technical authority for a specified CSSP Service Area offering (e.g., DCO, UAM, CTI).
  • Technical guidance and advanced proficiency in IR methodologies and tools.
  • Coordination with contractors and stakeholders to execute and verify project requirements.
  • Capability to provide surge support and technical direction during significant breaches.
  • Knowledge of network and host‑based correlation, PCAP analysis, IDS/IPS, and basic digital forensics.
Clearance Level
  • Secret with upgrade to TS required.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; or three years of directly relevant experience, preferably within a DoD or federal cybersecurity environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% globally, including short‑notice (72‑hour) deployments.
Certification Level
  • Must hold an IAT Level II certification.
  • CND certification or ability to obtain.
