Full‑time – Computer Systems Analyst
The Computer Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and maintaining computer systems and software applications. The role provides technical support, troubleshooting, and ensures the proper functioning of computer hardware and software. The position may require deployment to McMurdo Station, Antarctica, and requires a physical qualification (PQ) pursuant to the U.S. Antarctic Program.
Bonus OpportunityTeam members who deploy and are in good standing may qualify for a monthly deployment bonus, a deployment completion bonus, and a performance‑based bonus upon completion of their deployment.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS- Obtain and maintain required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property.
- Hold and maintain a valid Security+ certification.
- Obtain an OS certification within six (6) months.
- Perform job duties in extreme, cold, dark, and work environments.
- Physically qualified (PQ) per U.S. Antarctic Program requirements.
- Pass medical and dental examinations prior to deployment; expenses are reimbursable.
- Broad knowledge of data sources, data flow, systems interactions, advanced computer equipment and software applications, and advanced systems design techniques.
- Proficient understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures related to computer systems and applications.
- Ability to analyze and develop complex design objectives.
- Proven ability to advise and recommend solutions for resolving issues.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office.
- Solid analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Conduct analysis and evaluation of computer systems and software applications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex computer systems and software.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and update system configurations and procedures.
- Participate in testing and quality assurance activities.
- Provide user training and support.
- Assist in the development and implementation of system enhancements and upgrades.
Computer Systems Analyst – High school diploma or GED with at least one (1) year of experience with computerized systems, including installation, testing, repair, and troubleshooting of standalone and networked computers, printers, and peripherals; and software installation and configuration. Provide technical, operational, and training support to users remotely or on‑site.
Computer Systems Analyst II – High school diploma or GED with at least three (3) years of experience, including testing and evaluation, network protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, UNIX and Windows‑based operating systems.
Computer Systems Analyst III – High school diploma or GED with at least five (5) years of experience, including test and evaluation, network protocols, LAN administration, and UNIX and Windows‑based operating systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWork is primarily performed in an office environment. Employees are required to sit regularly, use hands to handle objects and operate tools and computer controls, speak and hear, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl intermittently. Frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds; requires adequate vision and hearing. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
