Role Overview
The Service Now Administrator will support a US Navy environment, providing hosting environments and platforms for Navy applications, as well as other DoD and Homeland Security applications. The role requires full-time support through September 30, 2026, transitioning to part-time support for FY27. The administrator will be responsible for maintaining Service Now capabilities used to manage purchase orders, contracts, catalog items, assets, configuration data, and IT operations processes.
WhatYou Will Do
The administrator will perform various tasks, including administering and maintaining Service Now IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Service Catalog, and related platform capabilities. They will also develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all ITAM and Catalog processes, support purchase order and contract tracking, and create, configure, test, publish, and maintain catalog items, record producers, variables, approvals, and fulfillment workflows.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated SME-level experience architecting and implementing Service Now Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) workflows. They will be able to gather requirements, document processes, analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role requires a Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification and a DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- Three or more years of Service Now administration, platform analysis, or implementation experience
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
- DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
