Job SummaryThe Manager of the AI Incubation Team leads rapid experimentation and prototype development efforts that support novel AI concepts across the organization. This role evaluates emerging opportunities, oversees feasibility assessments and proof-of-concept development, leads technical contributors, and helps transition validated innovations into enterprise deployment pathways. The position should have a clear summary, defined responsibilities, and qualifications aligned to the role.
Key ResponsibilitiesConcept Intake, Evaluation & Prioritization
- Evaluate AI ideas for enterprise value, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
- Develop and maintain a prioritization framework for incubation candidates.
- Scope and define early-stage AI concepts.
- Lead and manage Jr. Data Scientists and ML Engineers.
- Balance resources across multiple incubation initiatives.
- Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation.
Prototype Development & Technical Oversight
- Oversee feasibility testing, rapid prototyping, data assessment, and validation activities.
- Promote responsible, ethical, and compliant AI development practices.
- Document technical frameworks and transition requirements.
Transition to Deployment
- Partner with stakeholders to transition validated prototypes into deployment pathways.
- Prepare implementation recommendations, design documentation, and risk considerations.
Innovation Leadership
- Maintain a pipeline of emerging AI opportunities.
- Support development of innovative and potentially patentable AI solutions.
- Drive organizational impact through applied AI innovation.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in AI, machine learning, data science, research engineering, or innovation-focused environments.
- Experience supporting AI projects, prototyping, data analysis, or concept development.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with technical teams.
- Experience with rapid experimentation, feasibility analysis, or proof-of-concept development preferred.
