Telecommunications Engineer

GovCIO LLC seeks a Telecommunications Engineer to design, implement, and support secure voice, video, and data networks for federal customers. You will architect and configure telecom solutions, including VoIP and unified communications, optimize WAN/LAN performance, and troubleshoot complex issues in mission-critical environments. Working in a collaborative, mission-driven culture, you'll partner with cloud, cybersecurity, and software teams to modernize legacy systems, document architectures, and ensure compliance with federal security standards while growing your skills through training and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure telecommunications and network solutions for federal customers.
• Configure and support voice, video, and data systems including Vo
• IP and unified communications.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high availability for mission systems.
• Collaborate with software, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to integrate telecom solutions into modern IT environments.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards.
• Support modernization initiatives, migrations, and upgrades with minimal service disruption.
• Ensure compliance with federal security and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
