Job PurposeThe Structured Cabling Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for the lifecycle of the College’s inside and outside plant structured cabling infrastructure. The position serves as the technical owner for campus low-voltage and fiber optic cabling standards, manages service vendors and contractors responsible for installation and maintenance, maintains infrastructure documentation, and develops long-term infrastructure plans that support institutional technology needs. The position serves as the primary IT liaison with Facilities Management on operational issues and provides technical review and standards guidance for capital construction and renovation projects managed through the IT’s Project Management Office ( PMO ).
High school diploma with experience in cabling infrastructure. A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required work experience. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
