Seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a manufacturer in Charleston, SC.
Responsible for procuring raw materials, finished goods, production supplies, and operational materials to support manufacturing while ensuring cost-effective purchasing, on-time delivery, and inventory accuracy
. Manages purchase orders, coordinates shipments, communicates with suppliers, negotiates pricing, monitors vendor performance, and resolves invoice discrepancies. Maintains purchasing and MRP data in SAP
, supports inventory optimization, tracks KPIs, and collaborates with Material Planning and Supply Chain teams to meet production requirements. Also supports Lean initiatives, 5S standards, and continuous process improvement while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a similar field of study.
Minimum of 2 years experience in purchasing/procurement in a manufacturing environment.
Must be willing to work fully in-person Monday-Friday (typical hours are 8am-5pm with some flexibility to avoid heavy commuting times).
