Buyer - Raw Materials

YourKey Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure a consistent and cost-effective supply of raw materials.
- Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand raw material requirements and forecast demand.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and supplier performance to optimize sourcing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Resolve supplier issues, such as quality concerns, delivery delays, and price discrepancies.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement function.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to raw material sourcing.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a raw material buyer or procurement specialist in a corporate setting.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with procurement software and systems (for example, ERP, eSourcing platforms).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to raw material sourcing.
