Field Service Technician 2 ($1,500 Hiring Bonus) - SAFRAN SEATS USA LLC

Safran Seats is a world‑leading manufacturer of aircraft seats. The Field Service Technician 2 plays a key role in supporting over one million seats delivered to airlines worldwide.

As a member of the Safran Seats business, you will provide on‑site support at the Air Framer for Safran Aerospace Seats for interiors manufactured in the USA, France and Great Britain. You will assist Air Framer/airline customers during the build of the aircraft, addressing installation issues, damaged parts, re‑work pickups, cosmetic defects and customer relations matters.

• Rework and stamp pickups identified by Air Framer or customers during the aircraft build.
• Replace/troubleshoot faulty electronic components and other damaged parts, adjust misaligned panels/trim pieces, and provide assistance to the Air Framer seat installation team.
• Maintain high‑quality workmanship at all times.
• Respond promptly to all communication (telephone, etc.) with Air Framer personnel and customers.
• Maintain a good rapport with Air Framer personnel and customers.
• Follow Safran/ Air Framer safety guidelines or processes established by the organization at all times.
• Submit accurate part order requests and understand the POA/SOA process at Air Framer/Safran.
• Drive company van and other technicians safely around Air Framer/Safran facilities.
• Attend Safran daily stand‑up/tie‑in meetings.
• Adhere to Air Framer/Safran training requirements related to flight line, safety and other courses throughout the year.
• Coordinate verbally with QA personnel, engineers, leaders, technicians and other key Air Framer/Safran personnel on a daily basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate’s Degree uur related technical field preferred.
• Experience: At Anatomy field service experience related to troubleshooting and repairs required (at least 2 years).
• Technical skills: Ability to use hand and power tools; basic
  
  Else knowledge of CMMs, engineering drawings and other technical documents; basic computer knowledge; proficiency with smartphones/tablets for emails, pictures and other communications.
• Driving: Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a passport if required.
• Behavioral skills: Work efficiently under stressful situations; follow instructions and complete jobs promptly; excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Availability: Ability to work various hours, after hours and weekends as needed; manage multiple tasks simultaneously; travel to other Air Framer facilities and international Safran sites occasionally.
• Desirable: Hands‑on electrical troubleshooting (testing voltage and continuity); participation in continuous improvement efforts; clear written and verbal communication.

International and/or domestic travel required; approximately 2‑4 weeks per year.
