"The best way to predict the future is to create it." — Peter Drucker
We aren't looking for a "caretaker" manager. We are looking for a Branch Manager with a CEO mentality. As the leader of this division, you will treat the branch as your own business. You will have the autonomy to drive the P&L, the responsibility to scale the operation, and the entrepreneurial grit to lead from the front—especially when it comes to prospecting and closing new deals.
If you are a high-level strategist who still loves the "thrill of the hunt," this is your next move.
Your primary objective is the total profitability and expansion of the division. You will balance executive oversight with aggressive market development.
- Entrepreneurial Sales: You will spend 20% to 60% of your time in the field. We need a closer who can identify opportunities, build a pipeline, and secure new contract sales to grow the base by 20% or more.
- CEO Mentality: Prepare quarterly and annual projections, manage the full P&L (Revenue and SG&A), and take total ownership of the branch’s financial health.
- Operational Command: You ensure the "engine" is running smoothly. This includes supervising 1st-level managers, ensuring compliance with company systems, and maintaining a high-performance culture.
- Brand Ambassadorship: You are the face of the company. You’ll build name awareness through public relations, civic involvement (Chamber of Commerce, etc.), and high-level client retention strategies.
We hire leaders with a proven history of stability and growth. To succeed here, you need a rare blend of operational discipline and sales aggression.
Required Experience:
- The "2.5 Rule": A career history showing an average of at least 2.5 years per position, demonstrating your commitment to seeing a strategy through.
- Management Tenure: 2+ years supervising 1st-level managers and 6+ years of total professional business experience.
- Financial Mastery: Hands-on experience managing a P&L, including controlling direct and non-direct cost of sales.
- Industry Savvy: Deep knowledge of the B2B service industry and the ability to thrive in a "commodity" service environment.
- Education: 4-year degree and a valid driver’s license are required.
Preferred Industry Background:
- Experience in Janitorial or Landscape service sectors.
