As a District Manager for Airgas, you will be a pioneer in creating a high-performance culture rooted in safety and excellence. We are looking for a supportive mentor who can empower our sales teams to reach their full potential while nurturing a community of safety and reliability.

Your role is to advance our market presence by cultivating alignment across branches,
optimizing resources, and facilitating a seamless experience for both our associates and our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Empower, mentor, and support the sales team to advance toward excellent safety standards and performance milestones.

  • Cultivate exceptional customer service and product knowledge, ensuring a collaborative approach to problem resolution.

  • Advocate for safety measures through interactive meetings and by ensuring alignment with all safety protocols.

  • Enhance and sustain the selling skills and product expertise of the staff through continuous learning.

  • Foster professional growth and provide proactive guidance on company policies and customer service excellence.

  • Partner with the Branch Manager in the hiring, training, and holistic management of employees.

  • Support outside sales representatives by preparing insightful sales data and providing thoughtful forecasts for leadership.

  • Optimize the budget, monitor fiscal health, and shepherd expenditures to ensure long-term sustainability.

  • Coordinate paperwork, inventory, pricing, and profitability to ensure operational health.

  • Facilitate personnel matters and ensure facility upkeep to provide a welcoming and safe environment.

Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience (ideally 7+ years in a relevant field).

  • Demonstrated experience in medical sales
    , showcasing a deep understanding of the industry.

  • A proactive approach to leadership
    , with a history of supporting and mentoring teams for at least 3 years.

  • Strong communication skills
    , both verbal and written, with a focus on building alignment and staying organized.

  • Comfortable with Microsoft solutions
    , particularly Excel and Word, and experienced in data entry and order extraction.

  • Numerical proficiency for practical business applications and analytical reporting.

  • Resilience and adaptability to work independently and maintain focus in a dynamic environment.

  • The ability to foster understanding while interacting with diverse teams and personalities.

  • Physical capability to lift 25-75 lbs. as needed to support operations.

  • A valid driver’s license and an insured personal vehicle.

  • Comfortable working in a drug‑free environment.

  • Flexibility to adjust your schedule to meet the needs of our customers and the management team.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A history of advancing sales growth and achieving consistent year‑over‑year progress.

  • Experience in sales team management with a focus on sustainable growth.

  • Public speaking capabilities to represent the brand with confidence.

  • A natural ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

  • SAP experience preferred.
