We are looking for a General Manager who wants full responsibility for building a business - starting with revenue. In the early stages, you will personally generate work by meeting customers, producing estimates, and closing jobs. The team, systems, and scale come after the work exists.
If you thrive on winning business, owning outcomes, and building something from the ground up, this role offers a rare opportunity to lead a service business with real upside. If you prefer inheriting a mature operation with steady demand, this position will not be a fit.
This is not a passive management role. This is a builder role.
We are looking for a General Manager who can make calculated risk oriented decisions with minimal input, take responsibility for the outcome of achieving financial results, lead teams, delegate, and execute without making excuses. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk management position. In the early stages, the General Manager personally drives revenue - meeting customers, performing estimates, following up on opportunities, and converting work.
The team cannot be built until the work exists, and the work exists because the GM creates it.
If you enjoy leading people but do not enjoy selling, this role will not be a fit.
As the business grows, the GM transitions from primary estimator and closer into a true team leader by hiring and managing a dedicated sales role. As the General Manager of Punch List Pros, you'll combine business management, customer service, sales and leadership skills to build a scalable home services business backed by an established brand.
The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:
- Basic construction/home repair knowledge.
- Risk, cost and time management skills.
- Strength in leadership, adaptability and critical thinking.
- Planning and forecasting abilities.
- Excellent sales and communication skills.
- Home Services experience: 5 years (Preferred)
Compensation:
$60,000 base salary + performance incentives tied directly to revenue and profit.
Total earnings potential: $90,000-$140,000+ annually for high-performers who successfully build and scale their market.
In this role, your income grows as the business grows.
