Retail & Store Manager
We are seeking District Leaders in Training to support our Augusta, Charleston, and Beaufort/Bluffton regions.
The DLIT is responsible for developing and strengthening the skills needed to effectively lead, plan, organize, and manage operations in preparation for promotion to District Leader. Although assigned to a specific location and serving primarily as a Store Leader, they will often be called upon to cover District Leader vacations, gaining invaluable experience as they prepare for promotion to District Leader.
- Accountable for achieving district financial goals, including sales, controllable costs, shrink, labor, and operating profit.
- Ensure adherence to company systems for inventory control, expense management, and loss prevention.
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports to identify trends and drive corrective action.
- Audit pricing, promotions, inventory, and cash handling to ensure compliance and profitability.
- Partner with Marketing to execute promotional plans, product launches, and merchandising standards.
- Ensure stores follow plan‑ograms and brand presentation guidelines.
- Conduct competitive analysis and oversee in‑store events and community engagement efforts.
- Recruit, coach, and develop store leadership teams to drive performance and engagement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and administer progressive discipline when necessary.
- Maintain staffing levels aligned with labor models and business needs.
- Promote a culture of accountability, recognition, and employee retention.
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards across all locations.
- Address customer concerns promptly and ensure compliance with alcohol and tobacco laws.
- Conduct regular store walks to maintain cleanliness, safety, and service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Partner with HR on employee relations matters and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards at all times.
- Partner with maintenance to uphold equipment functionality and store cleanliness standards.
- Address safety issues and ensure preventative maintenance programs are followed.

- Associates or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Must maintain a current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license with an insurable driving record
- Current Serv Safe Certification
- Successful completion of age‑restricted alcohol and tobacco sales training
- Successful completion of UST Training
- District Leaders in Training must be able to work varied hours, days, and shifts as needed by the employer due to business circumstances.
- Minimum of 5+ years multi‑unit retail experience, convenience store experience preferred; or a minimum of 5+ years of store management experience within Parker’s
- Shift Length – Varies – 8 to 10 hour shifts
- Flooring and Lighting – Cement and fluorescent lighting
- Environment – Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise
