Quality Control Inspector

Our client, a leader in precision manufacturing, has an immediate need for an experienced Quality Inspector
, to join our winning team in Fairfield.

Our candidate of choice will bring prior CMM experience, as it is required for this role.

• Perform required inspections of complex parts and assemblies using complicated blueprints, sketches, and written and/or verbal specifications.
• Execute first article inspections and associated documentation.
• Identify non-conforming parts and collaborate with machinists to determine the root cause of defects.
• This is a machine shop, not a laboratory. Candidates must be familiar with mechanical manufacturing inspection processes and procedures.
• Utilize basic and advanced inspection tools and gauges, optical comparator, CMM, and other inspection equipment.
• Documents inspection results and makes decisions regarding inspection issues.
• Possesses the ability to understand verbal as well as written instructions.
• Requires the use of standard shop math, including trigonometry and geometry, and a complete knowledge of machine shop and assembly operations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication practices.
• Compensation range commensurate with experience.

• 5 or more years of experience as an inspector with demonstrated acceptable performance of the required inspection operations.
• Experience with ISO 9001 requirements is a plus.
• Must be a US citizen or legal resident eligible for employment.
