Lead CNC Machinist

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team in Charleston, SC. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of CNC machinists to achieve production goals and maintain quality standards.

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce parts that meet customer requirements.

Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality control standards.

Implement and maintain best practices for safety and machine maintenance.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to streamline processes and improve workflow.

Train new team members on CNC operations and safety protocols.

Assist in inventory management and ordering of materials as needed.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.

Proven experience as a CNC machinist, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation, including G-code and M-code.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team.

Familiarity with quality control processes and tools.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
