The Individual Giving Manager is a core member of the Development Team at One
80 Place. The individual in this role is a frontline fundraiser responsible for securing financial support from individual philanthropists to advance the mission of One
80 Place to end and prevent homelessness. The Individual Giving Manager will utilize basic fundraising principles to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors. The individual in this role must be comfortable engaging with and meeting individual donors to foster meaningful relationships. They will manage a portfolio of 50-75 mid-level donors ($2,500- $5,000).

Additionally, the Individual Giving Manager is responsible for prospect research to identify and qualify major gift prospects to fuel the major donor pipeline. They work collaboratively with the Donor Database Specialist and Annual Giving Manager to leverage data insights and wealth screening results to build this prospect list. The Individual Giving Manager reports to the Chief Development Officer and works at the 35 Walnut Street location in downtown Charleston, SC.

Full-time, regular/ exempt

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2-3 years of proven experience in nonprofit fundraising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for building relationships.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Raisers Edge NXT database or similar CRM database.
  • Understanding of fundraising principles and prospect research strategies.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in dealing with sensitive donor information.
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and independently.
SPECIFIC DUTIES Frontline Fundraising (50%)
  • Manage a portfolio of 50-75 donors donating $2,500-$5,000 annually.
  • Communicate regularly with donors through personalized correspondence, 1:1 solicitation meetings, and follow-up stewardship visits.
Prospect Development (40%)
  • Research major gift prospects within the Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge CRM qualifying prospects based on affinity to the One
    80 Place mission and propensity to give.
  • Leverage the CRM database to document actions, moves management, and wealth screening data.
  • Build donor profiles for CDO prior to major gift solicitations.
Stewardship and Retention (10%)
  • Implement effective stewardship activities to engage, educate and retain donors year over year, in coordination with the Annual Giving Manager and Communications Manager.
