American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of recent experience and a SC or compact RN license.

• Work in a 22-bed intermediate PCU/medical-surgical unit within a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Primary patient population includes pre- and post-operative transplant (liver, kidney, kidney/pancreas), nephrology, and urology patients
• Central monitor system for step-down rooms and bedside monitors for transplant patients
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• Schedule consists of 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00 am – 7:30 pm) with every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Staffing ratios at night are typically 1:3 or 1:4 depending on needs
• Floating within scope to other units may be required
• Care for complex transplant, nephrology, and urology patients in a high-acuity, supportive environment
• Royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms are required for scrubs
• First-time travelers will be considered for this assignment
• Holiday coverage is part of the regular schedule
• Travelers may only be submitted to one facility or unit at a time
• RTO of 7 days or less is preferred for auto-offer consideration; longer RTO involving holidays requires facility approval
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are considered on a case-by-case basis

• Active SC RN license or compact state RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Experience with transplant patient population preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Submission requires copy of driver's license and proof of Social Security number
• Previous permanent employees must have been separated for at least 1 year prior to consideration
