Job Details- Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Perioperative RN / Surgical Nurse

- Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour (06:30 AM – 7:00 PM); weekend schedule:
Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday - Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
- Charting / EMR: Epic EMR (experience with Epic preferred)
- Practice Setting: Level I Trauma Center, Magnet Hospital, Teaching Facility — high-acuity perioperative environment
- Parking: Garage parking available with $20 registration fee for permit
- 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers accepted — perioperative OR experience preferred
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (pending license considered with proof of application)
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
- Scrub experience strongly preferred; circulating and scrub competencies required based on assignment
- First-time travel nurses accepted — travel nursing jobs welcome
- Experience in a Level I trauma setting preferred
- Ability to float within scope to like units/sister facilities as needed
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care as circulating and/or scrub RN based on competency and assignment
- Prepare the operating room for cases: verify equipment, instrumentation, supplies, and patient readiness
- Maintain sterile technique and support infection prevention standards throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient case flow and patient safety
- Complete accurate intraoperative documentation and charting in Epic EMR
- Support patient safety processes including verification, time-outs, specimen handling, counts, and handoffs
- Float to like units/sister areas within scope as needed to support surgical services and staffing needs
- Work in a high-acuity, academic Level I Trauma Center and Magnet teaching hospital — excellent experience for perioperative RNs and OR RNs
