Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring scrub and circulate experience in complex vascular cases, with an active SC or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Position is in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital,

• Primarily day shifts working 3x12 hours, 6:30am to 7:00pm, scheduled Monday through Friday,

• On-call required 5-8 times per month including some weekends and possible holiday call,

• Common vascular procedures include endovascular, TEVAR, FEVAR, AAA, EVAR, thrombectomy, amputation, carotid, and AV fistula,

• Uses EPIC for charting,

• Radiation badge required and provided by the agency,

• Candidates may be asked to float within the department as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license in hand at start of contract,

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience required,

• Must demonstrate ability to both scrub and circulate in complex vascular cases,

• Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS required,

• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred,

• Proof of SSN and driver's license required,

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius may be considered on a case-by-case basis,

Additional Information

• Previous permanent staff (including PRN) must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,

• First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment,

• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of application and is subject to approval based on department needs,

• Holiday call coverage may be required depending on unit needs,

• Staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November),

• Parking requires a $20 registration fee for garage access,

• Assignment is at a Magnet-recognized facility with 820 staffed beds,
