Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing at NHC Health Care Charleston. This role focuses on managing nursing care, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a team‑oriented, family‑oriented culture.

• Monitor that treatments and medications are administered as ordered.
• Maintain a system to insure knowledge of patient status (e.g., make daily rounds of all patients).
• Plan and direct nursing service within an interdisciplinary team environment.
• Communicate effectively with the medical/health care community, patients, and families.

• South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication skills and leadership ability.
• Flexible, caring, compassionate, and a team player.
• Ability to work as a floor nurse if needed.
• Prior experience in long‑term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
