Overview

Full-Time Registered Nurse position with Active Day. Nurses provide nursing care to members in accordance with physician's orders and emergent needs, coordinate care with other professional disciplines, and support members, families, and staff while complying with company policies and safety standards.

• Provide nursing care and administer medications to members according to individual care plans and physician orders; document clinical notes and progress in the member's medical record.
• Perform initial nursing assessments; monitor and document vital signs and responses to treatments, and report abnormalities to the physician. Coordinate care with other member care services (e.g., Dietary, Pharmacy, Dental, Rehabilitation, Physical/Speech/Occupational Therapy, Audiology, DME).
• Assist members with daily functional activities (hygiene, meals, ambulation, arrivals/departures, social activities).
• Provide health education and instruction to staff, members, families, and the community as directed. Participate in facility marketing activities.
• Provide emergency care and prepare incident reports as required.
• May perform duties of Director of Nursing as required.
• Participate in continuing nursing education.
• Exposure to biological agents (e.g., body fluids, microorganisms).
• Physical requirements:
  
  continuous walking/standing up to 4 hours; walking up to 4 hours in an 8-hour period; standing up to 4 hours in an 8-hour period; sitting up to 4 hours in an 8-hour period; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; occasional pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds; frequent overhead reaching; frequent bending, twisting, and kneeling.

• Education:
  
  RN license, CPR certification, and malpractice insurance if applicable.
• Experience:
  
  1–2 years of full-time equivalent experience in a licensed health care facility; geriatric and long-term care experience preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) may be required.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of NJ Dept of Health and Senior Services Manuals of Standards for Adult Day Health Care Licensure.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal environmental and OSHA regulations.
• Strong English communication skills (oral and written).
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities; capable of cross-functional collaboration and flexible scheduling.
