Weekend Nights

As a Registered Nurse on the Emergency Room shift at HCA Healthcare Long Point, you will coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care on weekend nights.

• Assess and document patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessment after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitor patients, or carry out other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to resolve them proactively.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about their medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, potential side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology into clear language.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as a healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
• Prepare patients and families/caregivers for self‑management in the future.

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice or holding an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
