Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.
Minimum Training and
Education:
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date. A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:
Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Ability to use lower extremities for balance and coordination.
Ability to reach in all directions. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted. Ability to lift/lower objects 50 lbs. from/to floor from/to 36 inches unassisted. Ability to lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs. Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance.
Ability to match or discriminate between colors. Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. Good peripheral vision capabilities. Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations. Ability to work rotating shifts. Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to work in a latex safe environment.
Ability to maintain tactile sensory functions.
