American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring OB OR circulating skills and an active SC or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Nursing Obstetrics unit of a hospital setting
- 8-week assignment with 12-hour day shifts from 7a-730p
- 36 hours per week across 3 days per week
- Required to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to circulate in an OR is required, with scrubbing for OB OR procedures preferred
- Uses Cerner EMR for charting
- Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
- Active RN license in SC or a compact NCSBN recognized state (not a permanent SC resident)
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Current NRP certification
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required, BSN preferred
- Ability to perform patient assessments across physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual, and cognitive domains
- Ability to scrub for OB OR procedures preferred
- Provide nursing care in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act
- Apply professional nursing theory to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Act as a patient advocate and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide patient and family education and evaluate teaching effectiveness
- Identify and respond to ethical issues in patient care while respecting patient diversity and rights
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, core measures, and patient safety and quality initiatives
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from their initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
